This policy explains what information PetalSay (petalsay.com) collects when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. Questions go to [email protected].
What we collect
When you read the site. Like most websites, our server and our security and delivery service, Cloudflare, record technical details of each visit: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. We use these to keep the site running, fast and safe from attacks. Our security plugin, Wordfence, uses this information to block malicious traffic.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they find us. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country or city), device and referring site. We don't use it to identify you personally. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Sharing buttons. We use Grow by Mediavine for sharing buttons and to understand which content is shared. It may set cookies or use similar storage on your device.
When you email us. If you write to us, we keep your email and our reply so we can answer you. We don't add you to any mailing list.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We and our partners use them for security (Cloudflare), analytics (Google Analytics) and sharing tools (Grow). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Advertising and affiliate links
If we show ads in the future, our ad partner may use cookies to show ads and measure them, and we'll update this page before that starts. When you click an affiliate link to a shop, that shop may use a cookie to record that you came from PetalSay. What happens on their site is covered by their own privacy policy.
Who we share information with
Only the services that run the site: Cloudflare (delivery and security), our hosting provider, Google (analytics), Mediavine (Grow), and our email providers (Hostinger for our mailbox, Brevo for website emails). We don't sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Server and security logs are kept for a short time, usually no more than a few weeks. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Emails are kept as long as needed to answer you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live (for example California, or another US state with a privacy law), you may have further rights. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
PetalSay is a general-audience site. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We'll update this page when how we handle information changes, and change the date at the top.
